Galliford Try wins £75m Brent Cross residential contract

Galliford Try has won a £75m contract to deliver a build-to-rent residential building at the Brent Cross Town mega-development in north London.

The project will create 249 new homes across three blocks.

In addition, Midgard has been appointed to build a market-sale residential building including 107 homes.

The contracts are part of a Related Argent and Invesco Real Estate joint venture to deliver 800 homes at the site.

Overall, the £8bn Brent Cross Town development will create nearly 7,000 new homes, 280,000 square metres of office space, a high street and schools. It is being overseen by Related Argent and Barnet Council.

The construction of five buildings at the development is already underway. This includes another market-sale residential building, featuring 170 homes, also being delivered by Midgard. The firm is also building 120 new affordable homes in partnership with Related Argent, Barnet Council and L&Q.

Galliford Try chief executive Bill Hocking said: “The private rental and wider residential sectors are an integral part of our sustainable growth strategy, particularly when we have the opportunity to work with respected repeat clients like Related Argent and Invesco Real Estate.

“We look forward to continuing our collaboration with them and all the stakeholders involved to produce more high-quality homes for the local community.”
