Developer’s UK chief promoted to group executive team

Developer HB Reavis has appointed its UK chief executive to its international executive team.

Steven Skinner will take his place at the group executive management team, and will oversee projects in the UK, Germany and Poland. He will retain his role as UK chief executive.

Skinner joined HB Reavis in 2017 as transactional director and was responsible for developing its UK business. In his role, Skinner led the team through acquisitions, leasing, financing, asset management and marketing. He was promoted to UK CEO in 2018.

Under his leadership, HB Reavis has prioritised sustainable development in the UK market through its net-zero-carbon scheme, Worship Square [London], following the successful delivery of  its Bloom Clerkenwell development, also in the capital. HB Reavis is currently building the £600m, 1.3-million-square-foot, mixed-use Waterloo One scheme, adjacent to London Waterloo station.

According to the developer, the new office will be fossil-fuel-free with low-carbon solutions implemented at all project stages. There will also be a greater-than-35-per-cent reduction in energy consumption through a “lean, clean and green” innovative building design. HB Reavis is acting as main contractor for the scheme, which was given planning approval in April 2021 and replaces the current Elizabeth House scheme.

In his executive management role, Skinner will oversee development and product design across the full HB Reavis portfolio.

Marcel Sedlák, currently German CEO, will also become a member of the executive management team.
