Construction News Awards 2023 shortlist revealed

The shortlist for the Construction News Awards 2023 has been revealed.

In total, 187 entries have been shortlisted across 23 categories – with tier one contractors, specialist contractors, consultants and clients all in the running for awards.

Balfour Beatty leads the nominations, with 17 entries – including joint venture projects – being shortlisted across 10 categories.

Morgan Sindall has, meanwhile, been shortlisted for seven awards, while Robertson and Vinci have been shortlisted for six and Graham and Mace for four each.

Other tier one contractors to feature include Kier, Skanska, Sir Robert McAlpine, Bouygues, ISG, McLaren, Lendlease and Wates.

Big-name clients, meanwhile, include HS2, the Ministry of Justice, the Department for Education, Battersea Power Station Development Company and Anglian Water.

The awards celebrate excellent builders, teams and projects from across the industry – with categories focusing on sustainability, health and safety, diversity and inclusion, innovation and technology.

The four contractors shortlisted for the Contractor of the Year (turnover above £500m) category are: John Sisk & Son, Mace, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure and Robertson.
