Turner & Townsend hires senior execs for US infrastructure bonanza

UK-headquartered international consultant Turner & Townsend has made two senior appointments to capitalise on what it calls the “historic era” of infrastructure investment in the US.

The company aims to double revenues in North America in the next three years following the $1.2 trillion bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

Mark Blumkin becomes executive vice president and leader for the USA Infrastructure Practice and Jennifer Rimmer joins as senior vice president for government and public sector.

Blumkin was previously managing director of Deloitte’s Infrastructure and Capital Projects Practice and senior manager at PwC’s Engineering & Construction Practice.

Rimmer’s previous roles include vice president at the New York City Economic Development Corporation and director of strategic initiatives and sustainability for Aecom.

“With the signing of the landmark $1.2 Trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, we find ourselves at the beginning of a historic era of investment and growth in our nation’s infrastructure and public buildings,” said John Robbins, Turner & Townsend’s US managing director.

“Mark and Jennifer’s deep understanding of the infrastructure and public sectors, and creative approaches to problem solving, will enable us to support our clients in delivering projects that will improve the lives of millions of people across the country.”
