FM Conway revenue soars to near £500m

The growth was driven by both its acquisition of surfacing contractor Toppesfield in March 2021 and strong organic growth at the aggregate and asphalt business.

But pre-tax profit performance slid to £17m in the year to April 2022 from £20m before.

Toppesfield contributed £126m of revenue and £7.4m operating profit.

Chief executive Adam Green said: “The group responded well to mitigate cost increases, particularly in relation to driver shortages earlier in the year and increased energy costs in the second half.

“With a strong and growing infrastructure services orderbook, with the proven capability to deliver and refreshed long-term finance in place, the group is well positioned for continued success.”
