CPB Contractors awarded Mt Keith debottlenecking works in WA

CIMIC’s CPB Contractors selected for $105 million Mt Keith debottlenecking.

CPB Contractors, a member of CIMIC Group, has been selected to deliver the structural mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation (SMPE&I) work package for BHP’s Nickel West Mt Keith Debottlenecking Project near Leinster, Western Australia.

Set to generate approximately $105 million revenue for CPB Contractors, the project will provide additional grinding capacity to meet the processing requirements of ore with different characteristics.

CIMIC Group Executive Chairman Juan Santamaria said CPB Contractors has the experience necessary to successfully deliver the work package. “We are pleased to be selected to deliver another productivity enhancing project,” said Santamaria.

CPB Contractors’ teams are looking forward to safely delivering the project, said the company’s Managing Director Jason Spears.

“We’ll be drawing on our extensive resources industry experience to ensure that the required equipment and materials are available at Mt Keith,” said Spears.

CPB Contractors has also been selected by BHP to deliver other recent resources projects in Western Australia, including a camp expansion at the Mt Keith Mine Site, SMPE&I works for the Port Debottlenecking Project 1 and the Wind Fences (Air Quality) construction and installation works at Port Hedland.

Works at Mt Keith will commence this year and are scheduled for completion in 2024.
